Four letters addressed to Dr. H.R. Godman in Terry (Hinds County), Mississippi and one to his wife Emeline Ward in Edgefield Depot, South Carolina. The letters concern family and business matters, except one to Godman from W. Phillips in Demopolis, Alabama, giving him power of attorney over Phillips' property in Mississippi during the Civil War and instructions for its disposal.
